Alex Cooke

  • Leopard Rock Films was founded by Alex in 2021, after 5 years of living and filming in Botswana in addition to multiple projects in the USA. As Director of Photography, Alex brings a unique set of skills and experience to specialty projects in wildlife film. His work includes cinematography on Emmy-nominated programs, he specializes in long lens and macro filming, high speed cameras, custom gimbals, is an FAA certified drone pilot and a Shotover operator and technician.

Jackie Stearns

  • Jackie has produced premium natural history content for National Geographic, Disney+, BBC, Netflix, PBS, and more - working across development, on location as a field director and through post in the edit. At LRF she manages all productions and field operations. She has experience producing commercial work for a variety of global partners including Facebook, Playstation, DJI and Google. Jackie is on the board of the Wildlife Camerawoman Community Group – a nonprofit uplifting women and gender minority camera operators in natural history film and TV.

Daniel Dugmore

  • As our in-house camera operator, Daniel draws on a unique blend of technical skill and field experience. With a background in mobile safaris, conservation, and field operations, he brings an in-depth understanding of animal behavior and the environment to his work. His career has taken him across Africa, where he has refined his skills in long-lens cinematography, drone operation, and time-lapse photography. Daniel’s broadcast credits include work for leading networks such as BBC, National Geographic, Sky Nature, and ITV, showcasing his ability to deliver high-quality storytelling.

Tirelo Moatshe

  • Tirelo is a skilled wildlife assistant camera operator and production assistant from southern Botswana who brings authenticity and depth to his work through his deep connection to the region’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture. With expertise in filmmaking, photography, and technical production, he has contributed to corporate shoots, lodge promotions, and creative content for organizations like Okavango Community Aid and WildBird Trust. Tirelo participated in the 2023 National Geographic Society Photo Camp Botswana, mentoring youth from the Okavango region.

Rich Uren

  • Rich is an accomplished wildlife cinematographer with extensive experience filming across Botswana for a wide range of productions from emmy-nominated “The Flood” to BBC’s “Planet Earth 2”. Alongside his career in filming, RIch has been in the safari industry for over 20 years, from guiding to now owning and running a safari camp. His experience allows us to run seamless film camps in remote parts of Southern Africa.
